To provide an easy-to-use and frequently visited Web site that connects Macedonians from all over the world with Macedonian businesses. We will promote this tool and continue to add businesses and services from around the world.

About Robert Globocki - founder of MacedonianConnection.com
Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Robert is dedicated to bringing together Macedonian people and culture through the Internet. Robert's father and mother, Kire and Dana were born in Prespa, Macedonia (villages of Podmocani and Brajcino), but like many Macedonians, moved to Canada to pursue new opportunities for themselves and their family.

Robert's roots in the Canadian Macedonian community run deep and wide. In 2001, he married Suzanna, also very active in the Macedonian community. Robert is active in church, sport and cultural groups. He has proudly represented his community throughout North America, Australia and in Canada. He volunteers with his church and most recently built the Web site www.StClementOfOhrid.com.

Robert was corporate Web master at Hydro One Networks (www.HydroOneNetworks.com) for many years. While his career at the company is now focused on other areas, the knowledge he gained of the online world now serves Macedonians through www.MacedonianConnection.com.

Over the last few years, the Macedonian Connection team has criss-crossed parts of Canada and the United States, promoting our online business directory at picnics, festivals, golf tournaments and various Macedonian cultural events. We have also advertised on television and radio, as well as in several newspapers. MacedonianConnection.com has been featured in articles from around the world. In addition, to support the online directory we've sent thousands of e-mails, faxes and spent countless hours on the phone.

At the Detroit convention, we tapped in to the competitive Macedonian spirit by placing pride and a cash prize on the line in search for "Who’s the Fastest Macedonian", a 100-metre sprinting event open to all comers. Start training now for the 2006 event in Ajax, Ontario and watch for other contests and promotions.

All of this "work" was done while having a great time! The work hard, play hard motto of our team means, while we're working on weekends, we're at Macedonian events so we're having a great time doing it!
